What's the best meal prep or morning breakfast you've had this week?
As the office is reading Atomic Habits for our staff book club (go check out our last blog for some of my favorite takeaways on forming habits!), I've been putting much thought into my morning routines and habit practices. I've been thinking about what I'm feeding into my body at the start of a day's work. Below are a healthy alternatives for your morning breakfast or your child's midday snack that are quick, easy, and delicious.
A quick lunch option for the kiddos: Sunbutter & Apple Burrito
Spread 1 layer of sunbutter onto a tortilla, add some apples, and some sweets (choco chips, honey, or cinnamon are a few favs). You have a quick and hearty morning breakfast!
For those of us with a sweet tooth: Chocolate Dessert Hummus
A healthier (chickpea-based) version of Nutella. This can be paired with any toast, fruit, and granola to create a wonderful breakfast parfait. This Aldi brand is my current favorite, but variations can be found in Target & other grocery stores nearby.
