Robofun Summer Camp Open House: May 1st and What to Expect!
Summer Camp Open House!
We're having a summer camp open house from 11 am - 2 pm on Sunday, May 1st. Stop by, take a look, and still have time to do other things with your Sunday. What happens at an open house? We set up the studio for three different events simultaneously:
A tour of our facility. Many of you have not been able to come inside because of COVID. This is the day to see our space!
Make a project! You and your child can make a simple robot, make a simple circuitry project, or learn about making a video game.
Meet the people who make it happen. Meet me and my amazing staff! Learn about our history, philosophy of working with children, and our summer schedule.
Please register for the open house here. Think of it as our hands-on STEAM fair where you and your kids can make and build cool projects.
If you are ready to register for summer, either go online or call us at (212) 245-0444 ext. 107 and we'll help you. We run 12 weeks of summer camp. Your child can register for mornings, afternoons, or all day. We run programs for 3 - 13-year-olds in Robotics, Coding, Minecraft & Circuitry.

Thursday, April 21st at 12:30 pm, I am pleased to be speaking with Dr. Susan Klimczak who has been organizing STEAM maker curriculums for underserved teens and youth for the past 20 years in Boston. Susan worked in the first Fab Lab outside of the MIT Media Lab. She is the education organizer for Learn 2 Teach, Teach 2 Learn, and the Inventive Minds at Work an enrichment program where teens learn, build, and teach with creative technologies. She has recently been teaching creative computer science, digital design, and fabrication at the Madison Park Technical Vocational High School. She will share her recent passion for TurtleStitch, using a free coding environment to create digital embroidery in and out of the classroom using Turtle Geometry. She will highlight the importance of technologies that bring out the best in us, in each other, our communities, and the planet.
This will be a great talk! Please join us.
