I am so happy to welcome my colleague and friend Bakhtiar Mikhak as my Heart to Hart guest this week at 12:30 am on Thursday, June 3rd (note the different time). Bakhtiar Mikhak, the co-founder of Media Modifications, has a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from UCLA. He teaches computational design at Harvard University. At the MIT Media Laboratory, Bakhtiar served as a PI and the technical director for the NSF-funded Playful Invention and Exploration network and co-founded and directed the FabLab program. Bakhtiar's class syllabi can be found here and here, and more information in general here.

Our talk will focus on what programs like the Harvard Extension School offer to students who might not fit in the average traditional educational trajectory in high school and college. We’ll discuss the many paths for young people to explore their passions, and become productive and happy adults.
