Students create storyboards, write their scripts, and design characters to make their own stop-motion animation videos. They will explore animating multiple types of media including clay, paper, toys, and found objects. They will learn about the different principals of animation, special effects, and how to add music to score their movies. After completing their first stop-motion animation movie, students will realize that they are film-makers and directors in their own right. They take responsibility for all parts of their film – from the script, to the staging, to the soundtrack. The only limits to their films are their imaginations!
