How Do We Flourish As Learners & Summer Covid Protocols
Flourising, Thriving, and all Kinds of Safety
Tomorrow, Wednesday May 18th at 9:30 AM, I will be interviewing my colleague Dr. Cynthia McCallister. We'll be discussing her most recent book A Pedagogical Design for Human Flourishing: Transforming Schools with the McCallister Model. As an Associate Professor of Education at NYU, Cynthia has had one foot in the world of academia and the other in the world of public schools. Her work as a teacher, scholar, and school reformer has been tested in more than 20 NYC public schools. The McCallister Method has delivered an innovative and disruptive approach to schooling that has proven successful in finally transforming low-performing industrial schools to environments that are engaging, effective and joyful.
Summer Protocols for Robofun will be as follows as numbers on the Upper West Side have been rising. We review these protocols frequently and are aware that these protocols might not meet all parents' needs. Many parents have expressed to us they are not stringent enough, others believe they are too stringent. We are working hard to find the fine line that best protects your children and our staff.
While indoors, masks are required except when actively drinking or eating.
Class sizes are limited depending upon the room size to between 5 and 10 students to allow for distancing.
Temperatures are taken and hands are sanitized prior to coming into Robofun.
We ask that parents drop off their children downstairs to limit exposure, this allows for fewer people in our studio and thus protects more of us.
We have done very well in the past two years at protecting your children, and we're looking forward to a fun, exciting, and safe summer. If you would like to register for summer, call us at 212 245-0444 ext 107 and speak with Noah, or register here.
