Why should you consider registering your child for afterschool? Here are three great reasons.
Communication: Kids need lots and lots of time to talk, think, listen, process, and repeat. Our classes allow every child to express ideas, make projects, and listen to their classmates in a fun and individualized way.
Creativity: Learning is not a one size fits all experience. Learning is a creative fun process with new materials, new friends, new experiences, and a safe place where children can test out their independence. Our studio thrives on being a gentle and nurturing space where our students can experiment, make new friends, learn, and have fun.
Collaboration: One of my favorite moments as a teacher is watching children learn from each other. When the lightbulbs go off in their brain and they are excited to share this with a new friend, often a collaborative project ensues. Adults are successful in work when they know how to work with other people. This is a skill that takes a lifetime of practice. When do you stand your ground, when do you accept that other people might have a better suggestion? How do you navigate this without insulting your partner and without losing your own voice? You learn this with lots of practice. We provide a great playing and learning field for these skills.
