We're so excited about our move! I've included our FAQ at the bottom of this email if you have questions. Speaking of questions about our move, this Friday, February 3rd at 4 PM, for my Hart to Heart series, I'll be introducing you to our amazing architects Avis Lai and Keith Tsang of AVKE Design and we'll be talking about the process of designing Robofun's new home in Lincoln Square. Avis and Keith have experience designing a wide variety of projects with an eye toward creating fun, flexible, and functional spaces.
We will discuss how they have created a space for us that not only address our immediate needs but also how they created a space that itself is an educational tool that highlights building systems and means of organizing many different functions. After all, buildings are just really big machines that we inhabit! Please join us! Ask questions, and learn more from these amazing creative designers.
Where is summer camp going to be?
The weeks of June 20th and June 26th will be at our current location, 2672 Broadway. Beginning the week of July 17th, we will be at our new site, 110 West End Avenue between 64th and 65th street.
Why Move?
Our new space is a beautiful storefront. It will allow us to continue to run our programs in a modern facility, with a state-of-the-art HVAC system, child-centered classrooms, and an office space. We can't wait to show you our new home!
Will Anything Be Different?
We will continue to run creative and child-centered classes in robotics, coding (Scratch and Python), animation, and Minecraft. We will also continue to run private lessons, birthday parties, and field trips for schools. We anticipate more daytime Pre-K classes and weekend programs. We'd love to hear your ideas! If you feel there is a class we should offer, press reply to this email, and I will respond to your suggestion.
